This is the Wasp, an enemy character created for the stylized action-adventure game My Dragonni. I was in charge of the entire development process, from modeling and rigging to animation and the creation of multiple skin variations.
✦ Design & Modeling
The Wasp was conceived to fit naturally into the exaggerated, colorful world of My Dragonni. Its design blends the anatomy of real-world wasps with a more expressive, cartoonish aesthetic. The model emphasizes clean shapes, bold contrasts, and a sharp silhouette to ensure clarity and readability in fast-paced gameplay.
✦ Rigging & Animation
A custom rig was developed to support a wide range of animated behaviors, including flying, stinging attacks, idle loops, and reaction animations. Particular attention was given to the wings, legs, and facial features to maximize expression and movement appeal. Animations were designed with a focus on timing, impact, and personality.
✦ Skin Variants
To support variety across different gameplay situations, I designed several skin variants for the Wasp. Each version introduces a unique color scheme and texture set, offering visual diversity while staying true to the core design. These variations help enrich the game’s ecosystem and communicate enemy types at a glance.
✦ Art Direction & Integration
Every detail—from the iridescent wing shaders to the exaggerated stinger—was developed to match the stylized tone of the game. The result is an enemy that feels both threatening and memorable, adding flavor and challenge to the player’s journey.
This project allowed me to explore the full character pipeline within a stylized game context, merging creative direction with technical execution in a cohesive way.
