This series represents a personal exercise in artistic evolution, reimagining my own sci-fi armor concepts from years ago (2014 I think) with a renewed visual language, form, and color approach.
I aimed to preserve the core silhouette and character of the original designs while pushing them into a more painterly and atmospheric direction, integrating the figure with sci-fi architectural environments lit with cold and warm tones to enhance each version’s mood.
I explored two color variants (cool and warm), focusing on volumetric lighting studies and reflective surfaces to give each armor presence and identity. Through these versions, I sought to enhance the sense of solitude and quiet power I want my characters to convey, placing them within decaying technological environments that float between the monumental and the post-apocalyptic.
These pieces allowed me to reflect on how my initial ideas can transform while maintaining design consistency, solidifying a more painterly direction I intend to continue developing in my personal work.
