These are enemy “Spider” concept arts I developed for the video game My Dragonni. They are early-area enemies designed to bring color and personality to the biomes while maintaining a clean, stylized cartoon look readable from isometric and top-down perspectives.
Each color variant represents its aggression level and abilities:
🟢 Green: Forest-area spider, venomous attack, low health but high speed.
🟠 Orange: Desert-area spider, more durable, uses a spike attack.
🟣 Purple: Swamp-area spider, slow but tough, with web attacks.
Design goals included:
✅ Clear, expressive silhouettes with bold eyebrows and eyes for attitude.
✅ Vibrant color patterns matching My Dragonni’s creature palette.
✅ Exaggerated cartoon proportions with large legs for easy rigging and animation.
✅ Modular back shell elements (spikes, horns, swirls) for creating rarity and power variants without remaking the base model.
These illustrations were used as guides for 3D modeling (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/QKZOvE) and hand-painted texturing, ensuring visual consistency with the rest of the project.
